I can officially check off a top item from the Hours Lost bucket list. Have a tent at the Vans Warped Tour? CHECK. After a month and a half of prep, I gathered the supplies and new merchandise, nervously packed my tiny car, and drove off to Ventura, CA. With my crew of babes, photographers Shab Ferdowsi and Courtney Coles, we set up shop near the main stage. While I was excited to listen and dance to Motion City Soundtrack, The Wonder Years and Pierce The Veil, I was even more thrilled to meet new people and share Hours Lost with my Warped Tour family.
I grew up going to Warped Tour in San Francisco and Mountain View. It was always my favorite time of the year, which is why I am so incredibly thankful for the door of opportunity that was opened for Hours Lost. Warped Tour is not just a show. It's a community. The support of a community is how small businesses, like this one, thrive.
I had a wonderful time chatting with people who had never heard of Hours Lost before and appreciated their interest. I was especially elated when they decided to make a purchase or wanted a card so they could connect with us in the future. These people aren't just customers. They're new members of the Hours Lost community I am building.
Here are a few snapshots of our booth. All photos were taken by Shab, who also shot our last lookbook. We have a new one dropping on June 30 for our new summer items!
Special thanks to the Keep A Breast Foundation, Naked Walrus, Steve Linkhart, my babe crew, family, friends, and the 4Fini team for their support.
Cheers, Jenay Ross Founder + Designer
